In the rush to get out of town, this week has been extremely long and extremely short all at once. I am so excited to relax and refresh this weekend. Nothing is better for my design sense and my motivation than a few days rest (no matter how hard it is for me tear myself away). Some amazing architecture + chocolate shouldn’t hurt either ;-)

so, for the wrapping part of wrap-up

My “Merci” stamp and I are best buddies. I just adore it and it’s probably one of the handiest things I’ve ever purchased.

Out of cards? (for shame! just kidding) As long as you have some kind of decent paper around – cardstock or scrapbook paper – you can stamp it on a sheet, fold it, write a note and go. Or, if you already have the card or are going card-less, stamp it on a small business card sized scrap, tie it on the gift with a small note on the back, and you’re all set.

Today I stamped it on a pale pink cardstock with a super girly pearl and lace ribbon. I think this combo would be adorable for baby showers or bridal shower wrapping.

and now, to wrap-up the week:

  • I was so lucky to see Wicked Wednesday night with my MIL. Let me tell you, it was FABULOUS.  I realized I’d never really seen a musical or this caliber of performance before and it was definitely an experience everyone should have.  The sets and lighting had me over the moon.  And then, when we ventured out to the car afterwards all excited from the performance, our car had apparently had a party of its own and the battery was dead.  So then my knight in shining armor showed up, alongside AAA, to save the day.  A regular fairy tale! :-)
  • I found out my Aunt Julie reads my blog.  Hi Aunt Julie! {waving}
  • My kooky artist Aunt Dede (I say that in the most loving of ways) sent me Travelocity gnome headphones for my birthday, which I will definitely be wearing on the plane tomorrow in order to send her a picture.
  • Got a ton of invitation and welcome kits and other goodies out the door.
  • Heard from a little bird that my blog is mentioned in the next Charleston Weddings mag – how exciting is that?!
  • Had lunch with dad and ran into a few old friends while we were there.
  • Re-organized the office on Sunday.  My brother says I am going to organize myself into oblivion, whatever that means.  As long as it’s organized in oblivion, I’m pretty okay with that.

How did your week go?

P.S. You’re going to get to meet a new amazing blogger on Monday, and then I already have a fun Tipsy Tuesday post lined up!

    My hubby gifted me Wicked tickets, and we saw the show in Norfolk this spring. LOVED it! Glad you enjoyed too. Do you have the soundtrack yet? It makes for one of the best sing-in-your-car moments. cheers!

      I most definitely need to get the soundtrack! I kept thinking that while we were watching the show. It was fabulous!

    Hi Sarah! It’s been a while since I’ve been around here :( Since getting back from Fiji last week I’ve been sick, very annoying! You had me smiling big time when I read ‘MIL’ My sister calls Patrick BIL and now her friends even refer to him as BIL. I think it’s absolutely gorgeous. I’m big on organizing and reorganizing as well, it makes me happy! I adore you Merci stamp, I love how you send your orders out, all beautifully packaged. Safe travels and enjoy your weekend :)
