Friday already.

Random thought to close out the week:

  • This wrap up photo is from a few weeks ago when I made a little paper envelope sewed up with Divine Twine to hold Jeni’s bday present.  Also made some little paper flowers…was a super fun project!
  • Got lots of orders done and out the door, thanks to my new helper + a new printer!
  • Had Funfetti for my birthday.  Fancy cakes are great, but sometimes there is just nothing homier than a cake out of a box ;-)
  • Got an Invisalign tune-up on my birthday that involved way more pushing and grinding and pulling than I had planned for.  Sore teeth and lots of Advil this week.
  • Made friends with an old man named Jack at Atlanta Bread.  I have stopped by there since I was first in college occasionally to grab breakfast – back even when I was a camp counselor and would stop by for a moment of peace before the yelling and screaming started.  I bring that up because there is a group of older gentlemen who has been meeting there every morning, without fail, since I started stopping by from time to time six years ago or more. Now I work there in the mornings sometimes to get out of the house.  I’ve never really spoken much to their little group because I’m not sure what to say anyway, but I always smile and nod.  Jack was apparently on his own this morning though, and he walked by and stopped to tell me that I type way too fast.  Then he was gathering two oil paintings he had with him and some other things, so I offered to help him get them out of the door and had a nice little chat with him.  Turns out they were his paintings and they were quite beautiful.  I love meeting new people.
  • Lately Instagram has been failing to process a lot of my images.  Is that happening to anyone else or just me?
  • Getting to design some fun shower and birthday invitations for some of my favorite bloggers + clients (hello there Jessica and Ashley!).
  • Have become a full blown Hunger Games addict in less than a week.  I tend to read really fast…so if I’m honest here, I acquired the first book last Thursday, and I finished book three today.  R said this is getting to be an expensive habit and he’s glad there are only 3 books.  Oops ;-)
  • I almost forgot!  I’m famous!  A normal Staples trip turned into a news appearance on Wednesday.  Apparently when they want to know what “Charleston” thinks they just wait out in parking lots for someone who looks like they’d have an opinion, and that was me that day I guess.  They totally cut off what I was saying so I sound kind of dumb, and I also was not dressed for a news appearance that day (I was dressed for Staples!).  But still kind of fun!

How has your week been friends?  I hope you’re looking forward to a very fun weekend!  See you soon!
