I had an plan to talk about Facebook business pages but I just wasn’t in the mood to get into that. Instead, I’m much more in a let’s-get-organized phase at the moment.

I’ve been slowly chipping away at different parts of the house – bathroom cabinets, closets, filing, etc. trying to get better organization in place so hopefully things stay tidier.

One of my major annoyances has always been jewelry. I don’t really have a great spot for a real jewelry box so must of it lives in the teeny tiny bathroom cabinet, which means I hardly ever wear it because it’s annoying to get to and I can’t see it. Are you that way or is that just me?

So wandering in Wal-Mart the other day I realized the answer: ICE CUBE TRAYS! Pretty sure I may have seen that on Pinterest at some point so I can’t take full credit, but either way it worked like a charm. And the best part is that they were 3 for $1.50, unlike actual dedicated “jewelry trays,” which were several dollars a piece.

Do you have any organizational tips & tricks to share?

Very clever! I love getting organized, especially on the cheap. And I am the same way, out of sight, out of mind. If something is hidden away and/or difficult to get to, it doesn’t get used. So what’s the point in having it? Organization can usually solve the problem!

    That is actually super smart!

I love hanging up a piece of mesh or tulle with a couple of thumbtacks and using that to hang big, dangly earrings. If I don’t see them, I won’t wear them so this helps me give equal love to all of my pairs. Plus, it can actually look really cute on your wall.

I could give you tips and tricks for days :)

You are just the person I was thinking of with this post! We need to catch up for lunch next week if you have a chance!

My Dad used an old picture frame and some netting fence to make a framed display for all my dangly earrings. Pop a few hooks in the bottom, and you can hang necklaces and braclets too.
