A little sneak peek of this beautiful set of letterpress personal stationery going in the mail today, along with several other pretty spring wedding invitation suites.

Lots and lots going on around here this week – it’s a fun time of year when all the pieces come together to finish the packages we’ve been dreaming up for weeks and months. Many many more photos to come!

These adorable beach destination wedding invitations are in the mail this week! I love how the kraft and the pale blue pocket work together. Perfect for a destination wedding!

March invitations are just about done, as are April, and we’re getting into approval deadlines for May and June. It’s weird to be thinking about spring and summer weddings already, but they’ll be here before we know it.

I’m really pleased this year as I feel like we’re really getting into a groove. Our processes are getting better all the time to make sure orders are of the utmost quality, quickly delivered, and packaged in a way that puts a smile on the recipient’s face. It’s a really rewarding (and often challenging) experience to grow a business. Our invitations have come a long way from where we started!

So that’s what’s going on today – lots of order management, packaging, envelope lining, email answering, and the like. We’re almost to the weekend! Happy Thursday…

For a lot of retail businesses, January is a slower time. With spring weddings fast approaching, though, we are always quite busy this month. March, April, May and June invitations will be mailed starting now and continuing through the next few months.

So lots of pretty things are being picked up and mailed out here at dodeline nowadays. Jennie’s gorgeous champagne + pink invites above are amazing – I am so pleased with them. Double sided letterpress lace – need I say more?

I really love the fun maps we’ve been doing this year. And wait til you see the rest of that one above – it’s all fun!

One of the coolest things about Etsy is how we get to work with people all over the world. This beautiful box is on the way to Canada, and a similar one left for Australia a week ago. Such an honor to be entrusted with weddings so far away!

So needless to say it’s another busy week at dodeline and I couldn’t be happier about it. Sometimes when I’m busy it gets stressful of course, but I try to think about what an incredible blessing it is to have a busy business of my own. A few years ago, I would have never dreamed I’d be where I am now. Taking a minute to remember that always helps amidst the wedding chaos :-)

Happy Monday!

at long last, our lucky paper junkie club members reaped their precious rewards. last week, our personalized┬ápaper goods hit the pavement– snail mail at its best!

JanuaryReveal

┬áthe beauty of all of this is that despite my insider standing at dodeline, i, too was left in the dark on the special contents of my paper junkies delivery. i’m just a regular ole’ paying customer. and a happy one, at that.

first things first, hand crafted packages, stamped with someone’s love + care are pretty darn special these days. they’re a dying breed really and i find it really refreshing to be a part of a unique crew of folks who still cherish these things. not to mention the fact that we’re the recipients of (often monogrammed) yet always personalized stationery. i don’t about the other married gals in the scene but as special as my newly appointed wedding stationery once was, its now feeling a bit aged and tired. cue in paper junkies and the wedding paper monotony is put to rest, even if just for short nap.

here’s what i loved about january’s reveal– it had that crisp feeling of a fresh new year with new beginnings. i liked the clean lines and the creative use of size. on a personal note, it felt really nostalgic too because my school colors were orange + navy. ..i’m talking k-12, i was literally soaked in these colors. thankfully, i’m loving them all over again!

and a little shout-out to inventive creator, sarah. she received some undoubtedly hot paper junkies press from our friends + followers on instagram. cheers to instapics and hashtagging paper junkies up the wazoo!

paper junkie!

stationery gift ideas

I’m so excited to start out this week by announcing our Paper Junkies program. The seed of an idea started a few months ago about how we could share our love of paper in new and different ways and also get to be creative with all the lovely envelopes, paper, twine, etc. we keep around the studio. And so, paper junkies is born!

To tell you about it, the talented Lisa stepped in with her wonderful way with words, so I’m going to step aside and let her explain…

paper junkies unite! here at dodeline, we are excited to announce our newest program, a special opportunity for our lovely stationery lovers to fuel their precious paperie addictions.

whether it be a treat to your one bad self or a generous gift for mom or a friend, paper junkies is a monthly correspondence club that offers a set of 5 one-of-a-kind + personalized cards. just imagine, each month, a box of dodeline treasures prepared with thought + care and a darling little bow arrives at your doorstep — each handcrafted card ready to take on the postal world!

I’m such a fan of programs like Birch Box and Olive Box and Umba Box that I really wanted to do something like that to connect us more often with our wonderful fans and customers. We’ve managed to create a program that is truly personalized, very affordable, and a new surprise design each month, which I hope will make it even more special. Especially for all you brides with your new monograms :-)

Sound good? Hope so! Find out more about Paper Junkies. And special thanks to Kellie, Lisa, Jeni and Paige Winn for helping me brainstorm & pitching in to make it happen!

Psst…looking for stationery gift ideas? We have lots of personalized sets in our shop, or try out our Paper Junkies program for something that keeps treating your friends & family beyond the holiday season!

Boy, it has been one of those weeks! The kind where you’re up before dawn and home after dusk. Beautiful October weather means it’s the perfect time for weddings, which keeps us quite busy!

It’s also the time to be sending out save the dates for spring weddings. These rustic save the dates are in the mail to a sweet bride getting married in the tropics…

rustic save the dates

This package is one of my favorites because it’s rustic but it also has a touch of elegance with the gold deckle edge and the vellum overlay. The twine and the deckle and the textured graphics of the reply card pull some more rustic in too, so I think altogether it makes a nice piece for a beach wedding.

Hope you have a great day! Getting to wear boots finally so I’m a happy girl!

September and October are the months of, “who is getting married this weekend and what do they need?” around dodeline. Pickups galore of all sorts of miscellaneous items, from tags to menus to escort cards to programs. You name it. Not only do we do that for the local brides, but we also end up shipping out pretty day of paper quite often too.

menus-escortcards

So this week, in the mail, there are some lovely silver and deep purple menus, escort cards, table numbers, and place cards finding their way to nuptials in Washington, DC.

I hope you’re gearing up for a fun weekend. It’s been a really productive week around here…some changes we’re making had me quite anxious over the weekend, so I’m feeling good to get the week under my belt and moving forward. Check back on Monday to see what I’m talking about :-)

Also, by Monday, I will (hopefully) have survived my first ever 5K race. I suspect it will not be much of a race on my end, but I can pretend. I’ll just be happy to finish and accomplish a goal.

Have a wonderful weekend friends!

Sneak peek of some pretty awesome and unique modern destination wedding invites heading out in the mail soon….very hip!

modern destination wedding

It’s Thursday…almost to the end of the week! Lucky for me I’m heading “home” to Athens tomorrow, so it’s a Friday for me :-) Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Welcome to our new blog series, “In the Mail!” So often we ship out orders and don’t get pictures before hand, so this has a sneaky purpose of encouraging me to take photos more consistently, but I also think it’s kind of fun to get a peek at what’s floating around in the mail these days.

I am so looking forward to this Southern Protocol wedding. It’s sure to be gorgeous with all of the tried-and-true details of a Southern Protocol affair, and not only that, but the whole family is very design oriented and has been so excited about paper from the beginning. That, of course, makes us very happy!

custom letterpress stationery

The bride’s custom letterpress stationery is in the mail on its way to its new home this week, and we can’t wait for her to get it and start churning out those thank you notes. These will be perfect both before and after the wedding, which I always think is key when working on your thank you note design, and especially important when you are investing in letterpress.
