Brick and mortar stores are so close to my heart. Shopping online in my PJ’s is great, but I don’t want to do that on a Saturday: I want to go out and look and touch and smell all the pretty candles, papers, clothes, and loveliness!

Babymaime Boutique
in Somerset, KY is the newest brick & mortar to start carrying Stationery by Dodeline. I am just so happy to be working with Kasey and I think she’s doing a fabulous job!

In fact, she snapped this photo of the lovely card display she did for dodeline stationery products…

Check out her new website where she’s adding new products daily. It’s fabulous!

Been keeping busy lately – it is so rewarding, exciting, and challenging to be a full-time small business owner. I am loving every minute of it!

Here are a few photos of some new things in the works on the stationery side of dodeline. I hope you like them!

Only one person in this world knows how much I freaking love the sky ride at the fair, and that’s my boyfriend, who has probably endured hundreds of sky rides at this point in our relationship.

I just LOVE the feeling when you come up out of the crazy bright lights and chaos of people and sort of float over it all just watching the scene. Nothing better! So, sky ride cards, to celebrate Fall, the Fair, and peaceful moments!

I think this one might be one of my new favorites. It has a lot of occasions it could be used for, kind of like “I’m Your Biggest Fan” does.

That’s it for today my dears!

The new series Lovely Monday’s is meant to bring us all a few minutes of something lovely, unique, and inspiring on what is otherwise my least favorite day of the week. Enjoy!

I wonder if anyone ever feels grown up. As a kid, I was under the impression that all the adults had some sort of secret to the universe that someday I would find out. Apparently though, you just get older, and you’re expected to be more responsible and mature, but you still feel like a kid a lot of the time [or at least I do].

That said though, it’s easy to get caught up in the chaos of life: get up, overtired, running late, make polite conversation all day, try hard to sound and look professional, get home, oh darn now what am I going to eat for dinner, big pile of laundry in the corner, resist dessert because we’re watching our weight, go to bed, start over.

Blegh.

Last night we took a walk and wound up at the playground near where I live. I forgot what it was like to have a recess in the middle of the day – remember when you got to just swing on the swings for a glorious 30 minutes? I don’t ever do things like that anymore.

We laid down on the slides and looked up at the sky and just were. So today, on this rainy, stormy, *lovely* Monday – do something you haven’t done in awhile like swing on the swings or slide down the slide, or at the very least, daydream about it!

So this week I am focusing on digital lovelies instead of a physical space [one of those coming next week!].

Between this week and last, two amazing digital mags came out and I am in love with both of them. First up [yes, for selfish reasons, because I'm in it! Gasp!]: SOUTHERN FLOURISH. This magazine is the brainchild of Kate Hash and her wonderful creative team [definitely check out Olivia's blog Everyday Musings] and it’s for all of us young, hip, trendy Southerners.

Read the full issue on their website, but here are a few excerpts…

Oh snap, I’m published! :-)

So next up, the lovely Rue Mag. Parties, interiors, fashion, profiles: I’m in love.

My favorite part, the profile on a fellow stationery who has a studio I could just die for. The best part is her list of must-have’s: practically a description of my life. My boyfriend always asks me why I am always buying containers and opening them in stores as if there’s going to be something in them…..well, you just never know!

1. One million pens and pencils and one billion scraps of paper.
2. A physical day planner [girl after my own heart, picking a planner every December is a REALLY big deal].
3. Push pins for random inspiration.
4. Pretty containers.
5. Natural light.

Sigh. Can’t wait for the next issues! There’s your lovely Monday-Tuesday my dears!

First Up: Hope and Union on St. Philip Street

I had the pleasure of meeting Lindsay from 3.14 Pies at Hope & Union this morning, and I couldn’t believe I hadn’t been there before. If there was ever a design created just to capture my heart, this is it: a modern take on the Charleston single, mason jars and old-fashioned milk jugs, rustic furniture juxtaposed with iconic modern furniture…I mean really, does it get any better?

One things for sure, I have another coffee shop to add to my list of potential-client-meeting-spaces!

One of my favorite stores, Lesesne is holding an event this Thursday evening featuring stationery gift sets by dodeline. I’m so honored to be a part of it and would love to see you there!

The most adorable new boutique officially opened up in downtown Middletown, KY over Labor Day weekend: Fable Boutique. I was lucky enough to meet owner, Kari, through Etsy and am just thrilled that she decided to include Stationery by Dodeline in her store!

Just reading the description of the store concept, I completely fell in love:

“Fable is an ethereal tale that instructs. Our tale illuminates beauty in a detail and the propriety of everyday luxury.

Inside Fable, the boutique, you find modern and romantic clothing, from wardrobe basics to one of a kind designer dresses. Then, pirouetting, your periphery lights upon treasures and whimsy. Accessory vignettes display a witting combination of artisan designs and antique hand selections. Is it retail, or art, or magic? “

Check out the lovely display they did:
